What do I get with the Platinum servers that I don't get with the Storm Servers,
and why is the Platinum Server slightly more expensive?
The Platinum servers let you do your own reboots if your server goes down for whatever reason.
You also get MRTG graphs so you can see the bandwidth you have used.
Can I have test file and an IP to check the speed of your server?
Yes you can, just request this info using our Contact Form, or via Live Chat,
and a rep will be happy to give you this info.
What kind of bandwidth is used on Mydediserver?
We use BGP4 Bandwidth (Global Crossing™, Level3™, Wiltel™, and Cogent™)
Do you offer unmetered bandwidth?
Unfortunately we do not offer unmetered bandwidth. We offer 1000GB
of bandwidth every month. If you require more you can purchase additional bandwidth.
Can I run IRC and Adult material on my server?
IRC is not allowed on our network. However, adult content are allowed as long as it is legal.
Can I sell VPS using my server?
Yes, you can.
How much do you charge for OS Reload?
We will do an OS reload once for free. After that it is $25 per OS reload.
Are these servers managed?
All Servers are unmanaged. However you have the option of
getting a server fully managed. When you place an order you can click
on the option to have the server managed.
How can I pay for my server?
Currently we only accept paypal and 2CO (2Checkout); that also means
you can pay using most credit cards.
How long does it take to setup my server?
This really depends on the type of server. Servers are usually setup within 24 hrs
or less. However it could take longer than 24 hrs if you wanted to add more to
the hardware or change the OS. By default all servers come with CentOS installed.
Do I have to sign any contracts to get a dedicated server?
No, you don't have to sign any contracts and you are only billed month to month
and can cancel at any time. However a 30 day notice needs to be given to cancel any servers.
Can I get additional IPs?
Yes, you can get additional IPs. Lodge a support ticket if you need more IPs.
Do I get a refund if I decide I don't want the server after?
Unfortunately no refunds are given on any of our Dedicated Servers. However
if you are not satisfied you may cancel the service. Please read our Tersm of Service
and Acceptable Use Policy for more info.
Do you offer Windows Server?
Yes, Windows 2003 Server OS is available. You can get the Web edition, the Standard edition or the Enterprise edition.
Where is your Datacenter located?
We currently operate two Datacenters.
Our Storm Server Datacenter is located in Kansas City, USA.
Our Platinum Server Datacenter is located in Massachusetts, USA.
Are hardware upgrades available? if so, what are they?
Yes, hardware upgrades are available. Please check the web site for each server
and under options; if hardware upgrades are available it will be listed there.
Can I get a custom built server other than the ones that are listed on your website?
Unfortunately we don't do custom server builds.
Can I make payments in advance?
Yes, you can make payments in advance. Please contact our sales department regarding this.
Can someone else pay on my behalf?
Yes they can, as long as we can verify from that someone else that the payment
indeed is for your server. Approval on this can take a bit longer due to our fraud checks.
Can I cancel my order when it is in process and do I get my money back?
You can only cancel the order when the server has not yet been assigned or has been delayed to you,
and you can get your money back. However if the server has been assigned to you,
you will need to use it for that month and payment for that month only processed.
Do you provide any server security packages?
No, we do not provide any server security packages.
What software is installed on the server? (e.g PHP, MySQL, Apache)
Servers do not come with any preinstalled software except the default OS which is CentOS.
Clients can order a control panel like DirectAdmin or CPanel if they need php, mysql and apache installed.
Do you charge for reboot requests?
No, we do not charge for reboot requests.
Do you provide a remote reboot port? If yes how much does it cost?
At this time we do not provide a remote reboot port. However this is currently under
plan for implementation where customers will be able to do their own reboots.
Do you provide discounts on bulk orders?
Yes we do. For a quote please contact our Sales department.
What do you include in the server management package and what does it cost?
- Software updates: Backend Server Software Upgrades
- 24x7x365 (5 minute interval) Server Monitoring with Reboot
- WHM/CPanel Technical Issues
- 3rd Party Software Installation eg. zend optimizer, ioncube, GD, Imagemagick
The cost for server management is $19.95 per month. Please note that server management
is only available for Linux OS. We do not provide management for Windows 2003 servers.
